John 4:19-26

"Sir," the woman said, "you must be a prophet. So tell me, why is it that you Jews insist that Jerusalem is the only place of worship, while we Samaritans claim it is here at Mount Gerizim, where our ancestors worshiped?"

Jesus replied, "Believe me, dear woman, the time is coming when it will no longer matter whether you worship the Father on the tis mountain or in Jerusalem. You Samaritans know very little about the one you worship, while we Jews know all about him, for salvation comes through the Jews. But the time is coming-indeed it's here now- when true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth. The Father is looking for those who will worship Him that way. For God is Spirit, so those who worship Him must worship in spirit and in truth."

The woman said, "I know the Messiah is coming-the one who is called Christ. When he comes, he will explain everything to us."

Then Jesus told her, "I AM the Messiah!"

scorecard 2

Hey everyone, not that you care, but I'm officially out of my first semester of college!!!! Robbie 4, 1st semester 0! Anyway, I have a marvelous four weeks off and then, it's back to the grindstone!

So, a couple of guys that go to the Journey and I started a Bible study tonight. I'm really looking forward to spending some time with these guys, getting into God's word. We spent some time reading the first couple chapters of John, then we talked about what we'd read. It's awesome how different people get different things out of scripture. This is such an awesome way for God to reveal new things to you about something that you've read several times. If you're not in a small group like this, I would encourage you to do so. You don't have to be a Bible scholar to do it. I can promise you that! None of the three of us are. But what you will find is, that personal relationship you always hear about with Jesus, it's the best way to get to know him!

Do yourself a favor. Even if you're not in a small group, open the Book! Take time to read it. Watch your life be transformed!

Talk to y'all soon!
